Our Process

Behind every successful pursuit is a fundamentally sound inception. This is also true for Design and Architecture.

Here at Rood we reject generic notions in designing. The easy method is to resort to templated - cookie cutter concepts. But when we design mindlessly, the output often leans on the extremes of extravagance or simplicity and this can not be considered as a design strategy. Rather, true design should be a result that could only be conceived from an exhaustive design process. Extravagance is often vain if void of context and at times, simplicity serves as a veil for the lack of design. Great design is a product of an investigative and fundamental approach to a problem.

In our practice, we have developed what we call a 'Design Compass' that binds a clients vision and what we believe are the rudimentary - non-negotiable elements of good design into a foolproof navigation tool.

With this potent compass as our guide, we are never lost in the individuality of every design exercise. This compass acts as "The" enabler of good design. The ultimate result? Solutions that are -

Design Forward, Cost-Effective and Deliberate.
